comForte reports another record year

November 26, 2004

comForte GmbH, a leading provider of NonStop encryption and connectivity software, has closed its fiscal year 2004, reporting increased revenue over last year with a profit of 8%.

"Following last year's trend, we saw strong interest in our SSL encryption suite" said comForte co-founder and CEO, Dr. Michael Rossbach. "Many organisations realize the need for a total security solution covering all communication paths into their NonStop servers. With our extended capabilities of adding SSL to any middleware infrastructure, we were able to provide solutions for several new customers such as HP and some of the largest banks worldwide. The flexibility of our proven components allows for adding new features effectively, which helped us to satisfy custom requirements at very competitive prices." While security continues to be the key area of growth, comForte was able to close significant web-enabling deals and also relied on a constant revenue stream from its proven Terminal Emulation solutions.

To further extend the scope of its connectivity products, comForte acquired the CSL (Client Server Link) product line from Skybeam Management, Ltd. "CSL is an excellent tool and a perfect fit to our existing product suite" said Michael Horst, CTO and co-founder of comForte. "Combining CSL with our SSL components, customers will benefit from a truly integrated, secure and cost-effective solution that preserves the investments into the existing Remote Server Call applications and offers excellent support of new technologies like Java or J2EE. Together with JPath, CSL will provide enterprises with a straight path to migrate legacy applications to the web".

Based on the extended product line with enhanced capabilities, comForte is strongly positioned to respond to increasing market demand and new challenges in security, connectivity and web-enabling solutions for NonStop systems. comForte's ongoing investments into Research & Development and highest standards of quality were honoured during October 2004:

"¢ HP awarded comForte for being one of the first vendors providing solutions "Ready for IPv6".

"¢ HP awarded comForte for being the first alliance partner successfully compiling a product for the new NonStop Itanium platform.

"¢ The largest German private bank ordered comForte's new SSH/SFTP file transfer solution.

"¢ HP ordered SSL security components for the OSM consoles to be delivered with every new NonStop system.

Stay tuned for new success stories, which will be published on our newly designed Web site going live in December 2004.
