SecurFTP now supports the SOCKS protocol

March 16, 2007

SecurFTP/SSL, comForte's standard-based implementation of the FTP/SSL file transfer encryption protocol, has been enhanced to support the SOCKS protocol.

SOCKS is a protocol allowing applications to transparently use the services of a network firewall. The support of SOCKS allows SecurFTP/SSL to connect to other systems through firewalls in a controlled manner.
